The development history of multi-disc sludge dewatering machine equipment

Multi-disc sludge dewatering machine, referred to as screw stacking machine, is a water treatment system widely used in municipal sewage treatment projects and petrochemical, light industry, chemical fiber, papermaking, pharmaceutical, leather and other industrial industries.

Filtration equipment first appeared during the European Industrial Revolution in the 19th century. The earliest industrial filtration equipment that came out included press filter, leaf filter and screw filter.

The screw filter, also known as the screw extrusion dehydrator, first appeared in Germany in the 1960s, and then the former Soviet Union, Sweden, the United States and other countries also successively manufactured this type of filter, and was first used in oil pressing and fish grinding. It has been widely used in the dehydration of minced meat, the filtration of fish and shrimp waste, and in recent years in the fields of sludge dewatering and other industrial process dehydration.

Sludge is an inevitable product of sewage treatment in sewage treatment plants and sewage stations. Untreated sludge entering the environment will directly bring secondary pollution to water bodies and the atmosphere, and it will also affect the ecological environment and human activities. would pose a serious threat. Therefore, the treatment of sludge is very cautious. The treatment of sludge can be divided into sludge dewatering process and sludge drying process. The following mainly introduces the respective advantages of different types of sludge dewatering machines.

IEPP Sludge Dehydrator

There are roughly three types of sludge in sewage treatment plants: physical-chemical sludge, biochemical sludge, and physical-chemical-biochemical mixed sludge.

Centrifugal type: All three kinds of sludge can be used, but high energy consumption and high speed result in high noise.

Filter belt type: It is suitable for physical and chemical sludge, and the water content of the filter cake is low. It has poor adaptability to mixed sludge and biochemical sludge. There is a lot of return sludge, large water consumption for backwashing, high energy consumption, and complicated maintenance.

Multi-disc stacked screw sludge dewatering machine: It is a very efficient sludge treatment equipment.

Working principle of stacked screw sludge dewatering machine

1. Concentration: When the helical push shaft rotates, the multiple solid-moving laminations arranged on the periphery of the push shaft move relatively, and under the action of gravity, water is filtered out from the gaps between the relatively moving laminations to achieve rapid concentration.

2. Dehydration: The concentrated sludge moves forward continuously with the rotation of the screw shaft; along the direction of the mud cake outlet, the pitch of the screw shaft gradually decreases, the gap between the rings also gradually decreases, and the volume of the screw cavity Continuous shrinkage; under the action of the back pressure plate at the outlet, the internal pressure gradually increases, and the water in the sludge is squeezed out under the continuous operation of the screw drive shaft, and the solid content of the filter cake continues to increase, and finally the sludge continuous dehydration.

3. Self-cleaning: The rotation of the screw shaft pushes the moving ring to rotate continuously, and the equipment relies on the movement between the fixed ring and the moving ring to realize a continuous self-cleaning process, thus cleverly avoiding the common clogging problem of traditional dehydrators.
